Turbines aren’t just for jets anymore. The Techrules Ren Supercar uses a mix of proprietary turbine technology, batteries, electric motors, and a diesel engine to deliver serious performance. All combined, the TREV-based system produces 1,287 hp when all six motors are engaged, good for a 0-62 time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 198 mph. The unique, Giugiaro-penned design features a jet fighter-like canopy that raises backward to allow entry to and exit from the three-person cockpit, clad in Italian leather and denim from PT. The aerodynamic body and lightweight chassis are built primarily using carbon fiber and high-strength aluminum alloy, resulting in a highly capable car that redefines Chinese automotive performance.
